Surfeit

In Surfeit, a superfluity of white light in the image appears as a lack of information; with the sound, excess produces noise.  Mixed and edited to disorientate, the energy of the spray towards the viewer recalls the early ‘Rough Sea’ film experience of a dynamic that breaks out of the screen, a latter day perceptual excess.  Surfeit was shown at the CAZ basement programme in May 2011 at The Exchange, Penzance, the Hull International Film Festival October 2011 and the Cornwall Film Festival November 2011.
